Brief Description of the Organisation
Mildmay Community Partnership is a membership organisation and registered charity working with and for the community of Mildmay, a ward of Islington in north
London. MCP manages the Mildmay Community Centre, an award-winning Passivhaus building available to hire for events, training and community projects.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the organisation at a key point in its development. Working alongside the Centre Manager you would help to ensure that
the Mildmay Community Centre is a vibrant, well-managed facility that operates for the benefit of local residents.  

Description of the Role
We are looking for an experienced Administrator to perform administrative, reception and clerical tasks. The candidate will need to demonstrate prior experience as an
office administrator or relevant administrative role, ideally within a charity or community and voluntary led organisation.

Duties of the role include, undertaking marketing, financial & administrative tasks supporting all areas of the charity to maintain daily operations.  
As the first point of contact on reception to welcome guests and greet people who visit and use the community centre. A pleasant, approachable personality is
required, as this is primarily a customer service role.  

You will require:
 An empathetic approach to vulnerable groups and a commitment to the aims
of the charity
 Excellent & proven administration / IT skills;   
 Proficient in Microsoft systems
 Experience in marketing and promotion to increase bookings and hires
 Experience in media communications including Twitter, Face Book and
 To be highly numerate and comfortable with financial procedures and systems
 To manage and prioritise a varied workload
 Excellent communication and customer service skills   
 A willingness to be flexible and tolerant in a challenging and sometimes
changing work environment whilst streamlining office operations efficiency.
 The ability to carry out instructions and work with minimum supervision is
 This role will also require working shifts, so flexibility is necessary
 A ‘can do’ attitude as this can sometimes be a hands on, rolling your sleeves
up job
 Other duties appropriate to the post as directed by the Centre Manager.
